We cross-reference at least two primary Sanskrit sources for every name: the Amarakosha (classical Sanskrit thesaurus by Amarasimha, c. 375-415 CE) and the Monier-Williams Sanskrit-English Dictionary (1899). Regional naming traditions are verified against cultural organisation registries across India.

We use the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, which is the official standard adopted by the Government of India for Vedic astronomical and astrological computations.

The Moon's sidereal longitude is computed using Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms (2nd edition, 1998), then corrected by the Lahiri ayanamsa for the specific date and time of birth. The resulting degree falls into one of the 12 Rashis (each spanning 30 degrees) to determine the Janma Rashi.

The Chaldean system assigns values 1-8 (not 1-9 like Pythagorean) to letters based on their sound vibration, following the ancient Babylonian mathematical tradition. We use the widely-accepted academic mapping verified against historical texts and their documented Indian adaptations.

Verified factual errors are corrected within 72 hours. Significant corrections affecting astrological guidance are noted with a dated correction notice on the affected page.

Static content (name meanings, Nakshatra descriptions, Rashi characteristics) is reviewed quarterly. Our ephemeris engine is benchmarked against the Lahiri Ephemeris annually.
